Carwan Gallery has been commissioned by the IBDF a special multimedia installation for the opening of the new design festival in Mexico City. The gallery will present an installation by Beirut-based architect Bernard Khoury titled C'etait un rendez-vous. The works presented are a series of unedited short films and photographs depicting construction sites in Beirut and the route linking them to the architect's workshop. The trajectory that links the point of departure to the point of arrival serves to weave and confirm the complex relationships linking these projects to their environment. To document his carnal relationship with his context, the architect is propelled by his high-speed motorbike, capturing the images using a wide-angle lens camera fixed onto his helmet.
